Local Art Spots, Portland Art, and Home Again Art

Some yet to be painted drawings...top done at Taco Jalisco's on Oct. 25th...

Below done at the Sacramento Airport waiting to fly to Portland, Oregon later that day.

In Portland we spent 4 and a half days with my son, daughter in law and our 3 grand kids there. The youngest, 14 month old Allie Bel has a ton of stuffed animals and while I was waiting for her to wake from her nap I drew them. She can ASL sign each one! (monkey, bear, dog, cat, rabbit, fish, mouse, cow, and buffalo!) And we were delighted to watch her listen to music and hear our voices since having her cochlear implant tuned on!

Back  home again I drew this at Taco Jalisco's and painted it later at home. It was a fun day there too.
"The Couple" was there and it was the first time they asked if they could see my drawings. I shared my Travel Art Journal with them. They loved it. And Carlos was there too. He shared with me that he had used my art style in an acting scene at his acting class the previous week!

This week marked ONE YEAR since I started drawing at J's.

The next day I went downtown and drew at the Italian Deli where I had a nice hot bowl of Broccoli Cheddar soup!

I am linking these drawings today with Sunday Sketchers. You can see what the other artists are doing there via the icon on my side bar.

My Paint Party Friday art is one post down from this one!

  19. I love looking at other peoples art. All so different. I wish I could find my style. I am just not in any particular nitch and until I can find where I belong I cant really get into selling stuff that I do............its frustrating in that aspect but I do so love to see how many different ideas are out there
