We all tried our best to leave room for desert...
as we walked down the way to Fenton's a local ice cream parlor of some renown in this area.
We warned Allen that they are famous for their generous portions...so he got ready...
and then his sundae arrived...several kinds of ice cream on top of a huge chocolate brownie topped with hot fudge, whipped cream, nuts and a cherry!
We think it was an exciting moment...
In the meantime I gawked at my order of a "small" hot fudge sundae with coffee ice cream, whipped cream, nuts and a cherry!
DH ordered a small coffee milk shake...
It wasn't long till I finished mine and it was OH SO GOOD!!!!
Allen was still busy with his...
I continued to spoon around in the hot fudge on the plate!
as Allen dug deeper into his...
rooting out that chocolate brownie on the very bottom...
almost done...
I think I had enough...now, who will roll me back to the car????
We went home to watch "So You Think You Can Dance!" and played two more hands of Spite and Malice...we each won one...so tomorrow morning will be the play off!
Now I have to see if I can sleep with my belly full and all this caffeine in me...LOL
some guilt, but oh it was fun!!!

ReplyDeleteYou weren't kidding about "generous" portions. That ice cream brownie looks so rich, I would only be able to eat a few bite. And vegetarian pizza is THE BEST. Looks like Allen is getting really spoiled, dear. You sure know how to make them feel special.
ReplyDeleteI loved Allen's posing eating his Ice cream. :)) He really was into it. I dont now how he ate all that. I would have the worst tummy ache for a week if I had eaten all that. wow. Have fun the rest of his visit today.

ReplyDeleteOMG! When my daughter wakes up, I am pulling her over to see that sundae of Allen's! She will have a heart attack. If she ordered that and recieved it, it would have made her universe!!! She LOVES ice cream and brownies!!! LOLOL!!!

It's an understatement to call those huge portions!!! DH's looked very manageable.
