I had a super delightful three day visit from my son, daughter in law and 19 month old grand daughter. They flew home this morning. This afternoon, after a long recovery nap, I sat in the sun on my back patio and drew my weary plants! I have a two day hiatus and then my twin eight year old grand kids come without their parents for three days!

    Ah yes.. nothing like a nice warm day to get outside in and sketch. Sounds like you had a wonderful visit and sketching was just the thing to throw yourself into when they left. I like how you wrote on the sketch..Sunday after the kids left.Nicely done.

    Oh I envy you for sketching outside and sitting in the sun. There is snow here in my place and so I 'm still dreaming of the garden pictures you have already painted so wonderful.

    Sitting in the sun, drawing, looks really enviable right now from northern Minnesota! (though my drawing would not be as lovely!)
    Have fun with the 8 year olds! Our oldest are twins.. fifteen already, and eating everything in sight!
