Both used mostly thrift store finds for fabrics, threads, floss, beads, and batting! I machine sewed/quilted and hand sewed/embroidered both sides. New batik fabric was used for the fish and sea weed.
These are soft jeweled pages that were fun to make and hopefully will be fun for Kate to receive. See more of the ARTSHINE book pages here!

Good job!
I'd love to be included in the next round, but not knowing for sure where I'll be when, is a problem. Maybe there will be a group ready to start when I'm settled. Please keep me in mind.
:-)
These are so whimsical and fun and childlike .... It makes me want to slow sew!!!
ReplyDeleteKimmie it's so funny that you just said they were child like. I was just looking at them myself and I said to myself that they looked like kids art. Fun!!! Glad my inner child is alive and well.
ReplyDeleteBabs, thanks and please let us know when you are ready to join a traveling book group.

ReplyDeleteSecond, I love both these fabric book pages. The colors are stunning and the designs show thoughtful contemplation. I'm sure the recipient will be as thrilled as I was that you shared these.
I can't keep up with you :-). You do so much and post so often, where does all that wonderful energy come from? I love these pages! xoxo
ReplyDeleteBoth of these are so beautiful. Love the bright blue 'water' in the second piece.
ReplyDeleteLove the batik fish...a pillow with that on it would look perfect in my 'African' living room.
