What Am I Without My Pens and Paints?

 On Sunday I sat with my two 7 yr old twin grand kids, one's male, one's female, for those of you meeting them for the first time. Both like drawing, painting, and sports. They are very well rounded. They play baseball, the boy; and soccer, both! The boy wrote some awesome Haiku poems for his mom for mother's day. I wish I had copied some to share but I didn't. The girl wrote her grandpa and I a cute poem... It was sweet. It sat on the doorstep awaiting our arrival on Sunday.

They wanted me to draw something for them. They gave me some library books and instructed me to copy the characters on the cover, thus the flying rabbit and fox above. The girl on the right is supposed to be my grand daughter, but she said it looked like a woman. I guess I was seeing her in the future. It's fun to draw with them. You saw yesterday how she drew ME.

Today I was still dragging the weekend out with my every other Monday off from work. I had a few chores to do, errands to run. I decided to get my car washed. I was obviously too lazy to do it myself. So I pulled into the car wash where they do it for you. These were two of many more folks sitting and waiting for their cars to be taken care of. Everyone was wearing sun glasses and everyone was looking at a technological device in their hands. I guess I am one of a very few breed who still looks at people...and draws them even for goodness sakes! I only own a "dumb phone".

Both got up quite soon after I started to capture their poses so these are quickies. The chairs thank goodness stayed in place.

It was a lazy day, not a whole lot accomplished, but the car is now clean!
