Mixing It Up On Friday: My Neighbor's Shiny Red Truck and Flowers

My next door neighbor has a really bright shiny red truck he parks in his driveway. He has another truck he uses more often (it's huge and black); and a car that is under a tarp. His wife has her own car.
But this one catches my eye! So I took a photo of it the other day and yesterday I decided to paint it. Pretty, huh?

These beauties are in my brother's newly planted front yard!

This last one, a beared Iris is mine by my front door, but a new bloom on same plant I showed you earlier in the week. I think there are four buds total on this one plant from the Iris Farm.

    You really captured that RED truck. I can almost see my reflection in it.:)) You have great color sense. Love all the flowers. My Foxgloves are blooming wonderfully this year too. Your Camera does a great job close up.

    I love the red truck and I especially love the rocks ... they look really loose and great , but the photos are just stunning... hydrangea is my favourite flower and my parents used to have huge bushes covered in deep purple blooms... it almost broke my heart when they moved... yours look stunning... more photos as it blooms please!!!

    gosh, you too, as Cris, have LOTS of comments all of a sudden. love the red pickup. and your flowers are just goregeous. Here--a few dandelions, and a dearth of lilacs, I guess becasue of the odd weather. The old tree that usually has hundreds of blossoms this year only has about ten. am enjoying the west coast plethora of color and form.

    Love your truck painting. My dad had a truck like that but with a flat bed on the back. Your painting brings back so many fabulous childhood memories. Your flowers are lovely! Happy PPF!

    Cars have such great character. I'm not a car enthusiast, but I love them as characters and reflections of the person who drives them. It seems to say something about who they are...whether it is correct or not, considering money plays a major part in car selection, is another matter, but I do love cars as characters.

    And this red truck is dripping character all over the pavement. Lovely painting and a beautiful red. He almost wants to speak :D

    And beautiful flowers! I have an Australian native garden so we don't have many exotics around the place, and an elegant foxglove is a rare sight. Beautiful!

    Pretty flower photos! I tried to grow a foxglove once....lasted about 2 weeks in out TX heat. :( I especially love your sketch at the top from your everyday surroundings...that's great!

    Love that shade of red, and the flowers are pretty! There's a truck like that sitting in my driveway, except it's blue..like a robin egg shade of blue.
