Art travel journal days 14, 15, and 19!

More pages from my traveling art journal. Not in order because iPad continues to frustrate with up loading to blogger and I am not ready to unload my 1600 plus photos from my camera. So I took these photos with my iPad not in ideal conditions...

Okay, enough with apologies...this first drawing was done in the motel in Missoula, Montana, on Day 19 of this trip, we both had bad colds, were tired out...had gone out for Chinese noodle soup bowls, and came back to watch the Debates!
And by the next day were feeling worse health wise, not better, and had to make the excruciatingly painful decision not to go on to Oregon, where we were to spend 5 days at my son's home with him, our DIL, and precious year old grand daughter. The planned perfect ending to this awesome trip was not going to happen. We needed to go home.

If you click on the photo I believe it will not be blurry.

Now go back to Day 15 when we were in The Grand Tetons! At 9 a. m. I sat at the foot of this mind boggling beautiful mountain range sitting on my new little three legged stool and attempted to put paint to paper (in 42 degree
weather, with a cold) loving every minute of it. I later did more ink work on those trees!

Day 14 we were in Yellowstone National Park where we saw buffalo on the roads, elk, and moose too...hiked to the Great Falls at Artist Point, where I met another artist doing Plien Air painting of that awesome scene. I did my waterfall from memory after in the car.

This was a fabulous vacation even if the ending could have been better.
I have posted many more pages of my traveling art journal over the past few weeks so you can scroll through my blog to see more if you missed some.

I am linking this to Sunday Sketchers so go to the icon on my sidebar to see more of what these artists are doing!

    1. Sharon, thanks so much for deciding to follow my blog! Welcome!!!!

It is a "book" now as it's an art journal all in one place; but do you mean a book book, like one I could sell? I had not thought to that with this...had no idea anyone else would be interested in 'our trip'...but if enough said they were...

I am, however, about to embark on the task of gathering my Taco Jalisco drawing/paintings and perhaps a few others and making a book to sell of those!
