Good lunch in South Dakota. DAY 8 of 17

We have been traveling for 17 days today, but my blog posts are only up to Day 8. It's not as easy from the iPad as it is from a computer. I have been drawing daily, in the car, plien air on site, and in restaurants as you can see here. These are not my Jalisco People, no, they are Lead, South Dakotans, or perhaps other travelers like ourselves.

The fall colors shown in the yellow aspens were magnificent!  I tried to show in the color panel below all of the colors we were seeing in nature! A perfect time of year to travel. We have had perfect weather daily! We experienced one five minute hail storm driving over the Big Horn Mountains a couple of days ago. But otherwise it has all been sunny days!

Three days ago DH caught a cold. Yesterday it hit me with a vengeance!
So today we are holed up at a motel 6 in Butte, Montana not doing anything or going anywhere.
As energy has been depleted.

Hopefully, we will feel better soon and wii be back on the road again.

  2. Funny that you were in Butte, that is about 3 hours from me. Tomorrow I am headed south to Sedona which is beautiful country. I don't use the blogger app on my ipad I go right to blogger through Safari. I haven't done it very much so I am no expert. There is a learning curve for sure. I know that Mary ann Moss blogs from her iPad all the time.

  3. Desperately want to make a butte joke but it's nearly bedtime here and can't even come up with a lame one...tsk, tsk. Wouldn't have guess from your pages that you're not feeling well - they look so bright and cheerful. Get well soon!

  4. Oh feel better soon!! Everyone has that nasty cold here in Canada too!! Probably too late to take cold fx but I find it shortens the cold somewhat!! You could give it a try, but you have to be diligent about taking them!!

The colors and people are fabulous. Fall is my favorite time of years and to see all the changes on your travels must be an artists dream!!

    Take care!
