Last Week's Art Out, an Apology and more.

We'd just gotten back from our trip across eight states, and spending one week at home recouping from some weird virus we'd caught at the end of that trip. I went back to work and thus back to lunches out first at Taco Jalisco's (above).

I was welcomed back so warmly. "The Couple" was there and waved as to an old dear friend. Carlos spent time at my table talking and sharing how he wanted to start showing his art on the walls there in the restaurant and wanted to include my art from there too! It was a great day!

The next day I walked further down town to the Pure Grain Bakery. The sun was shining and it was warm out. I chose to eat my broccoli salad outside where I could see and draw these ladies. One was crocheting, the other was sewing a stuffed animal. I think it was a cat on her lap. The other two women on the right were really behind the first two but they fit better in my picture this way.
Now that I look at this painting I feel as though I am still there with them joining in their conversations even though I did not do that in reality.

On Thursday I was back at Taco Jalisco's again. It was fairly crowded. The Couple was there but not at a good angle to draw them. We smiled and said Hi! I liked that guy in the brown hat.

I drew this next group helter skelter from all over the room the following week on Tuesday at J's. The guy from The Couple got into the picture, he's the third guy from the left with glasses on.  If the gal on the far left is his wife it sure does not look like her. I think she's someone else. Oh memory stay with me. I think I couldn't see his wife for all the people sitting in front of them. Even the flowers got in the way of peoples faces and I had to ad lib at times.

It was good to be home and back with my peeps!

I'm sharing this with Paint Party Friday
and you can get to the other artists there
via the icon on my sidebar.

I want to thank everyone from there who came to my blog last week
and left comments. I have to apologize, as even though I posted I was
out of town for five days and could not get to everyone's blog.
I promise to do better this week to make up for that.
I normally do my best to get to every single artists blog who posts on PPF!

Have a wonderful weekend.
And if you are on the EAST COAST my prayers are with you.
I hope you have food and electricity by now and are dry and safe.

Our President Obama is doing such a great job helping those in need
who have suffered terrible losses from hurricane Sandy.
I hope he has more than proved he deserves your vote next week!

He already has mine.
