Sunday Showing of Art from Earlier in the Week Lynn Cohen

I drew this Frida for a friend in an ATC group recently. It now resides with Linda. However, I still call her My Frida. I didn't even know who she was until I got into drawing myself and her name kept popping up on other peoples blogs. Now I own several books about her. What an amazing woman, artist and life to read about.

I'm also continuing to draw daily for my new blog called Paper, Paint, Pencils & Pens, where a group of artists meet and draw to a given theme every two weeks. It is an open group and we welcome new members. You can get there via the button on my side bar or this link. Come see what we are doing and if you'd like to join in the fun leave me your email address here or there and I'll send you an invite.

I drew my rocking chair there. And now you can see it here!

Happy Sunday Sketching. I'm also linked at Sunday Sketchers and you can go there via the icon on my sidebar as well.

  2. I can't wait to place "MY" Frida in a frame with all my other Frida themed ATCs from the group's trade. LOL! I can understand you still calling her your Frida though. It must have been hard to part with her. I just posted her on my blog last night! She sure is getting around!

    1. Thanks Joan. I only learned about her and her amazing life when I started drawing three years ago and her name kept popping up on others blogs. I saw the film and have read a couple of books about her.

  9. Exceptional painting of Frida. The chair is wonderful, I can place myself in it. One of those old time chairs we all use to have. Blessings, Janet PPF
