I told myself if just a few people said they really liked what I was doing and wanted to come and see it each week or even once in a while, I would CONTINUE. I guess I just needed to know that. Knowing that makes it worth while.
I still feel guilty that I do not get to all others blogs in response (Paint Party Friday or otherwise); but will give myself slack in that department. I will visit when I can, and when I can't or don't, well, it's my loss isn't it. I am not going to beat myself up about it.
In the meanwhile, I continue with this months Creative Lettering Klass in Sketchbook Skool with Andrea Joseph, and all my other klassmates from around the world. We are having such a ball learning new ways to letter. See some of them here on my art journal pages; and some just in a journal devoted now to Lettering.

Last weekend we went to San Francisco to the Festival of the Sea. Listened to lots of singing groups. We go every year and it's always fun. I do love drawing the folks there.
The people is this group we've gone to sing with and hear since the mid 1970's on the Thayer sailing schooner at Hyde Street Pier. That ship has been newly refurbished. We hope they get monies to be able to sail her eventually too.
Dick and Carol Holdstock have been going there to sing as long as we have if not longer.
I just couldn't stop drawing. I drew all day long! Twelve pages in about 6-7 hours!!!!
This woman, Pearlee Sue, I was meeting and watching for the first time. She was an amazing artist. As my page states, she is an Historian, Storyteller, Actress, Singer. She acted a one woman performance about the end of slavery in the times of Harriet Tubman. She drew her audience into her show, (I was Hannah, a freed slave). I spoke to her afterwards and thanked her for her fine performance. She called me "cousin" and I felt like I'd love to and be honored to have her in my family!
The next day we went to a friends in Auburn to celebrate our friends joint birthdays, a father and son, turning 65 and 30 respectfully. What a joy it was.

I continue to garden and pick tomatoes, cucumbers and zucchinis from my month old vegetable garden. Everything is tall and lush and it's like a miracle has occurred in our backyard. I'm enjoying it all more that I could have ever imagined.Perhaps next week I will share photos from there.
