Things I still remember...

Things I am remembering from last weekend with my grand children: We talked about God. A. has never met Him. Y. says "He is everywhere. He is inside us and outside of us. But we never get to see Him." I said I thought God was a She. They said no that "Our God was a HE." It went on and on like this... Y. talks out loud to herself when playing with dolls. She carries on conversations with them and between them. A. is picking out music on the keyboard. And then on the zither. I asked him if he hears the music in his head, as his hand is drumming on the table edge. He looked at me surprised that I knew, and said yes he does. They ordered seconds on milk while out to dinner and drank it all. They held my hand while crossing the street. Nothing else feels quite that sweet, unless of course it's when sitting on the couch reading books to them while they are like bookends one on each side of me and I soak in their warmth against my arms as they lean into me. Four days later I can still feel it.
For this I am Grateful!
