Hi Lynn , this is great exercise! I like the shape of your flowers!
Someone, Susan, left a note on my blog today, go have a look if you have the time, she has enrolled a "doodle class" for textile use, very amusing and interesting http://artoftextiles.blogspot.com/
Those look good. And count as your daily drawing. ;) It is true tho. you get it ingrained in your brain and it does stick and come out much easier. I am finding that out from my daily drawing this month.

I will go look into the doodles class. Sounds like fun and right up my alley.
ReplyDeleteI am glad the flowers "count" as my daily drawing, as my daily drawing as mostly been by machine lately! Cheating?
Seems like a good idea to practice these shapes. I can't wait to see the final quilt. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteHmmmm...Well they didn't say it had to be 'pencil' drawing. Grin
ReplyDeleteI've seen quite a few free hand flowers on quilts and it always surprises me that they were done free hand. I guess I doubt I could ever do it.
ReplyDeleteNeat! I like the shapes, too.
ReplyDeleteAnnie I am just learning this free style /motion sewing. It's really quite easy. I love doing it. It's like drawing with a pencil. Kind of.
