Welcome to my week of drawing, klass homework, gardening, cooking and photographing!
A week ago Thursday we could be found at Barnes & Noble Cafe, where I combined last week's lettering lessons and neon markers into my usual cafe people drawings.
I just cannot nor do I want to stop learning more Creative Lettering!!!
It's very fun applying what I'm learning into my daily drawings in my art journal!
I think the way I've been eating for the past four years as vegan is really paying off. When I started I was overweight and I've maintained the 23 pound weight loss all this time, along with positive other health changes. Got off of two medications!
I love organic veggies. These zucchini I grew myself in my new garden! Everything else are from organic local farms, bought at our farmers market.
I have to tear myself away to go out to draw!
So many interesting people are out there just begging to be drawn!
More playing with fonts!
And then we got introduced to "Word Puns":
I was so thrilled when my first sunflower bloomed this week. I planted the seeds a month ago in the ground! I have 17 sunflower plants and as of today three have opened up!
I have five watermelon and at least three cantaloupe growing too! It's all very exciting. I'll continue to post photos as changes occur!
That was my week Thursday to Wednesday! Stay tuned. I'll be full of more adventures next week, I promise!
Have a Creative Week! Enjoy each day! Life is precious!
Another lovely week of sketches and things Lynn! Glad you remain healthy too!

wow what a plethora of wonderful art! Love your letter play Lynn! I took an online lettering class from Joanne Sharpe and loved it. Also have her book which reminds me it's time to bring it out and play again:) Your veggies look gorgeous and I love your drawing of them too. Beautiful sunflower (which begs to be drawn too:) Happy PPF!
ReplyDeleteI am loving the words you are adding to your sketches. I think they give more "atmosphere" to your pages. Not sure atmosphere is the word I want. And I love all the fonts because they certainly do each give a different emotion. Glad you decided to stay blogging. I would miss your Friday posts other wise. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteWow, Lynn, I love the variety. Your drawings are great as usual and I am impressed by your ability to draw women with their legs crossed! Don't think I'm able to pull that off. Anyway, your lettering is so fantastic. I love the pun letters - how neat! I have always loved graffiti type lettering so I am enjoying your sharing of your class work.
ReplyDeleteSo much great art this week. The photos too.
ReplyDeleteI still love Mr. Blue Headphones, but my new favorite is Ms, Still Sleeping ... The way her brows and eyelashes echo the double e's in "sleeping"
ReplyDeleteThe you are in a roll with the creative lettering! Great job! Love your creative use of your veggies too.
ReplyDeleteEnjoying your blog... one drawing at a time. It just makes me happy. TFS!
ReplyDeleteAnother week of great art! It's nice to hear that you are a vegan too, it's such a beautiful lifestyle. I also enjoy the veggies right from my garden and farmer's markets.
ReplyDeleteNot without coffee. . .love the different personalities and quite interesting how they are so different from where I lived (IL then FL) and where I now live (OK). Love the dialogue and the interesting detail. Blessings, Janet
ReplyDeleteGreat art and is it my imagination that there are more men to draw than women? I am a vegetarian, not vegan, have been all my life. Thanks for visiting my blog and for the lovely comment.
ReplyDeleteLove all that creative lettering, Lynn.
