Welcome to another weeks full of drawings and lettering. I left out many as I really outdid myself this week. Having a daily drawing habit becomes somewhat of an obsession, as well as being a passion for me.
Capturing couples to collect in my journal
Integrating lettering into journal pages in new ways ...
Having fun with Gelly Roll pens on black paper
(I moved these photos from iPhone to computer and they lose a lot of color resolution in the move)
imagine brightness!
How many different fonts can you put into one page?
The story if my new garden as a word/ story pun ...
Creative lettering class comes to an end, however, I formed a Facebook Group for folks who
took the class so we can continue on our own and encourage each other.
I discovered that gel pens are water soluble and turned to paint with a flick of my water brush!
I've drawn these women numerous times
Finding fun with numerous scripts ...
New pens are fun too!
Where to put the words?
I love gel pens on black
Love as word pun too!
Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate your visits and comments as they encourage me to draw on!
Wishing you a Creative Week Ahead!
Wow lots of art this week. Some of the conversations are pretty funny. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nicole!
DeleteYou have been busy! I love your hand lettering, particularly your apple piece!
ReplyDeleteThanks glad you like it! I had fun doing that one in three stages!
DeleteI do understand your passion and habit but don't you have to do any housework like cooking, cleaning etc.? :) sigh. :) I'd love to draw, paint all days long but I have always 'other things to do'. How do you do it?
ReplyDeleteHappy PPF!
Minimal housework! I do still work 2-3 part days a week as a licensed MFT therapist, I love cooking, especially now that I am growing vegetables and herbs in my own garden, but I also have developed the habit of doing urban sketching at coffee cafes several mornings a week, and curling up in my recliner at night with my art pad to draw and create! So to answer your question, yes, one can do it all!!!
DeleteAnother fantastic week of ART!Happy PPF, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteThanks Valerie!
DeleteI do like that you push into new areas all the time... i never quite know what i will get, except lots of fabulous drawing of course which i look forward to... xx
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I can keep your interest Tracey!
DeleteI think you used some creative lettering by writing inside your people Lynn. I really like the added words. Always enjoy my Friday visit. Happy PPF and have a great weekend. Erika
ReplyDeleteYou have got the creative lettering down pat, Lynn! I love the look of the fancy writing on black using gel pens. So stunning! As always, it's fun to see who you pick to be your subjects for the week. Happy PPF!
ReplyDeletefun series of sketches and letter play Lynn!
ReplyDeleteFun, exciting journey through your illustrated conversations:-)
ReplyDeleteYou are so prolific! Love the creative lettering. xo
ReplyDeleteLynn, you are so much fun with your pencils, pens inks, thanks!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you're having a lot of fun with the lettering. Didn' know the gel pens are water soluble.
ReplyDeleteOh I am enjoying all the different fonts and new styles in your repertoire! Love the apple a day and the Lynn creates. Smoking laws are so strict in Vancouver and parts of B.C. No smoking on beaches, too close to buildings and none at bus stops. That's a good thing!! Sketchbook school has really broadened your horizons...many fun new pieces...Love it all! Keep inspiring Lynn!!

ReplyDeletewonderful and creative week you had!
ReplyDeleteHi Lynn! Yesterday my next door neighbor was over and telling me how she use to sketch every where she went and just gave up her creativity. I told her about you and all your wonderful sketches. I think you inspired her to grab some paper and a pencil and start up sketching again.
ReplyDeleteI honestly believed everything I said about you. Hopefully she will have some time tomorrow to come over and see this post. I like all the "conversations/thoughts" going on with your people. It is always a treat to read your PPF posts. Have a wonderful week! Hugs, Rasz
