New Years Day in California

Perfectly "warm" sunny day... Doing my best to get back to healthy eating...

What a sunny backyard looks like when the gardener comes while you are on vacation...
note: NO SNOW!

Grapefruit tree producing like crazy...

No doubt that Henry is happy to be home...he spent the better part of the day outdoors marking his territory, inside getting petted, and now DH knows why he bought a down vest on our trip.

  4. ;-) No Mim, I am not gloating. Just overjoyed to be out of the cold! That's all. I am not a snow person AT ALL. Need the more mellow weather have here in Central C.

Wish we had your kind of weather here...............
This night we had frost but the sun is shining now and that is very important! Makes the cold bearable

  8. Good to see you're back to healthy eating and warm temps. We expect below zero temps here and just had about 12 more inches of snow. I am not a snow person either.

    Be well, Suki

  9. Hi Lynn, Henry looks at least as happy as you to be home:) I can understand you longing of fresh fruit and vegetables, after lots of chocolate. Dear Lynn have a wonderful new Year 2008. I'm looking forward to many interesting exchanges on your blog and by mail, about life, love and the world in general.
    I send you a "2nd Day of 2008"-hug,

  16. Hi Lynn, you must still be in the process of re-adaptation... I hope you'll find your normal rythm again soon. I'm with a slight head-cold which my husband caught from MIL...:) Here in Paris it is so grey cold and ugly at the moment, I'm jealous about your nice weather too! Enjoy your babysitting time,
    hugs

  17. So happy your toes are not frozen anymore!
Your kitty is so cute .. it reminds me of my teen years when our cat's favorite place to sleep was on my mother's coat.
