This post is dedicated to Forever Young, who has been looking forward all year to this her sixthieth year (really her sixtieth birthday but her 61st year!)
Will you all please rise and join me in a royally loud rendition of Happy Birthday to Forever Young?
Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday dear Forever Young,
Happy Birthday to YOU!
You have to sing really loud
depending on where you live as she lives across the Atlantic from me.
It's the first day of her big 6 0!
Make it a super wonderful day FY
you will always remember!
Hugs from all of us here in blogland!
Hi Lynn - what a nice birthday present for FY - I hope she had a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteAs to your question, I think it must have been the cuban Missile crisis, altho' I was too young to really know or understand. All I remember hearing was a councelor saying " the US was going to war" and my imagination ran wild. Living in New York City in the 50's after the war - there were just so many holocaust refugee's in our neighborhood, and parents of friends who had lived thru the camps - just a bit much for a sensitive kid. Ah well, at least I didn't worry about goulies under the bed!
I concur!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy bithday Forever Young
