Art Gallery Reception

Tonight we went to the Art Gallery Reception. I felt a bit like a shy little child sitting quietly watching from afar as people looked at my art work. And much like a shy child felt thrilled to see a few people standing in front of it (Clematis) and looking closely at it's stitches. That was my work on that wall. She looked pretty up there! I was proud of her.
Black and White "Abstract" formerly known as "Ashley" hung in a narrow hallway. Not sure she got seen as well as the other, but she looked smart too. Judy told me many had spoken well of them both earlier in the evening before we arrived.

I met several other members of the art league. Judy, the director was a wonderful hostess introducing us, making us feel welcomed.

They had quite a crowd too. Well, I am still a little overwhelmed from it all. Think I'll go sit and let this sink in. ;-)

  1. Sounds like a fun time was had by all. And I just know your quilts went over well and looked wonderful on the walls. I've been to a few receptions with my work in them & it IS fun to observe from the sidelines...as it is to sit and enjoy others work too.
You've come along way in a short time. Congrats.

One of the best feelings in the world is when our work is appreciated... I congratulate you, Lynn, on your work being displayed in the gallery... it's a big job ... You should be very very proud of yourself.
