Art Every Day Challenge: Day 3

*****************
When I get into something new I get on a roll and that is what I do/make/create for a while. Right now it is bags...using recycled materials...most recently recycled dressy dresses from the thrift store. This gem which is not done justice on the photos is glittery silver fabric and sparkly with beading across the top. It has a long strap that can be tied to wrap around wrist and hand or worn over the shoulder.
Small, pretty, with room enough for cell phone, lipstick (if you wear it), comb, hankie,
tickets for the theater!
Enjoy your evening out!

  1. Lynn, this is absolutely gorgeous! I love sparkly things, a sparkly handbag is perfect for an evening out. And made from recycled materials! Just beautiful.

  4. Recycling, brilliant, love it! The bag is wonderful too.
The wine is for our own consumption and is shared with the friends who made it with us.It should be good because it's the local way of making wine, though it doesn't have a long shelf life.
I'm much better now thank you. The worrying thing was the infection started moving into the rest of face, throat and ear. Frightening!

  5. the fact that they are all recycled 'wins' the day...and yes you never cease to amaze me either. have you always created things, sewn and made clothes and things all your life, or is it a new found joy?

  7. Thanks Belle, Cris, Human Being,
Jude, soul brush, Suki, and Teri. How sweet this simple little purse got such attention!

I did sew clothing when my kids were small. I had a line of jean wear (vests, hats, skirts) from recycled jeans in the 1970's. I actually sold some on Telegraph Aveune in Berkeley, CA. (on the sidewalk) ;-) Ah memories.
I also made things: fabric covered binders, dolls, other toys for my and my cousin's kids years ago. They are all grown and married with children of their own now. so it's been a long time since I've done this kind of creating.

Remember to Vote today if you haven't already...
