Babysitting Is The Joy Of My Life

My daughter called yesterday to ask if I'd mind coming down to babysit since she was calling last minute. Mind? When do you need me? I'm on my way! Such a question. I can't get there fast enough. My grand daughter informed me that this little alcove off the dining room is their "art studio".
So here we sat to make "mixed media" collages with stickers, foam sticker-ons and fabric scraps. Some of the foam cut outs made great toe nail polish!
She is nothing if not inventive! I was happy to find our joint collaborative art work on the wall in their bedroom. A quilted art hanging of her drawing.
We played baseball, cut out paper dolls, ate dinner together,
read tons of books, and finally fell into bed. She's asleep,
And he's on his way under his crocheted by grandma, Lion Blanket!
Li'a Tov...Good night sweethearts!
Grandma loves you more than life itself!
And to think we get to all be together again in just four days
for a Happy Thanksgiving!
;-)

  2. You are just so sweet. As are they. I love the art room alcove. And they they were able to keep you entertained and out of trouble with a capital T and that rhymes with P and that stands for Pool.

  4. Lynn, I had to reread my own comment to answer your question. I said they, your grandkids, were able to keep you out of trouble. Trouble is a key word in the Music Man musical (I think that's the one) and every time anyone says "Trouble" this guy, a sort of barker I think, says that refrain: "With a capital T and that rhymes with P and that stands for Pool." My saying it was rather off the wall I guess and doesnt make sense in any context of the post except for bouncing off the word I used: trouble. :) Does that make any sense.??

  6. I love the line "Grandma loves you more then life itself" Makes my heart and face smile. It is amazing the love we have in our hearts for the little ones in our life. I had know idea one could love so strongly until my children came into this world. My mother one time implied she would lay her life down for mine. back then I had no idea that she REALLY meant it.
    Thanks for sharing the love
