Watercolor drawing paintings of Sunflower III

On Twenty Minute Challenge, the watercolor blog, on which we try to paint for just 20 minutes and post what we accomplish there, yesterday I posted this drawing which I had just begun to paint showing the beginning of the textile art wall hanging I am for now calling
Sunflower III. As you can see it was much too much of a challenge to get much done in that time frame. So I posted it there as is...
and then I continued to paint  and in the end did some additions using some watercolor marking pens to fine tune it.
still just shows most of the background done to this time.
Today I worked
on the real thing and soon it will be ready for show!

  1. Interesting can't wait to see the finished piece

  2. I am sure it would take much longer to paint all the detail that you put on a quilt. All of that detail is what makes your quilts so special.

  3. I am so glad you finished this after posting on the 20 minute blog. this is great. Cant wait to see the quilt itself. Enjoy the process tho. We can wait. :)

  4. Wow, you really had a long way to go on this. Looks great.

  5. Can't wait to see the real thing! Must be fab! I am sure of that. Sunflowers is a theme you are very good at!

    Enjoy your day dear♥

Thanks for leaving your comments as I love hearing from you. Your words of encouragement are why I continue to draw!
