Silly Cat!

Henry did a funny thing last week, which I made sure I'd remember to tell you today!
The door bell rang and when Dear Husband (DH) went to open the door it was HENRY V! Yes, our cat.

Henry by his cat door/since he broke the "door part" it's always open

Seems Henry V saw Donna from next door going to the mail box that's on the sidewalk near our driveway. He ran to her and meowed up a storm, then ran to our front door until she got the message that he wanted to go in the house. So Donna rang the bell for him!

Now Henry has the neighbors trained. All the more embrarrassing is that our back door was open and Henry has a cat door there and he could have come in there without bothering a soul.

But not Henry. He'll come in the back and ask to be let out the front and vice versa!

Silly animal.

Right now he is sitting in a sunny spot by the back door and yes, he did go out the front door.

Miss Allie Bel expressed her own sentiments about Henry's behaviors too!
Tee Hee...Happy Animal Wednesday!

  2. That Henry is smart. Isn't it funny how animals like to rule?? And they do. tee hee. Luna likes for me to let her outside. If my DB tries to let her out she won't go. She waits until I get the message then will go. Happy AW.

  6. Henry IS *Le Roi*...and every person - including neighbours are *merely* his Vassals - to obey and serve his whims!!!! And...see...it works! He is one in a gadzillion... look into those Green Eyes and you can see his mind working...(unless he is dozing - and even then, with closed eyes, he is thinking about new adventures)! What a cat! Je adore!

Allie is so sweet with that knitted hat.... love her smile!

    HAW! Kiss the King!

  7. Hahaha now that is exactly why I love cats!!!! I love Henry I just can see the look in his eyes. I have one cat and she loves it when we open doors for her and we have a pet door too. She even open her own doors, but I think they just love the idea of having a servant :)

Alie is a cutie!!!!! What a smile!

    1. Yes, Marianne, you definitely get it! Cats like to think they have us wrapped around their little paws and unfortunately they are usually right.

Allie is adorable! Thanks for noticing! ;-)

  8. i saw somewhere a cat doorbell you could buy and of course place down low on your door. It comes with instructions about teaching your cat to use the doorbell. I think he pushes with his nose.

Is that your knitted wear surrounding that sweet babe?

    1. Suki, I am not at all sure I want Henry to have his own doorbell. I can only imagine the jumping up and down he would have us doing using that!
Perhaps it would be good exercise, however, I prefer choosing my own exercise times...not letting him RULE me!

A friend of Jackie's knit the blanket in the photo of Allie and her niece (about 12 yrs old I think) knit the cap. The "heart" blanket I knit is too big to use in the stroller. It's usually on the floor for Allie to sit on. Later will be a good crib blanket too.She also uses the quilt with all the kitties on it on the floor for her too as a play mat.

  11. Oh my, cats are just SO bossy, and demanding.
I love them in spite of their selfish ways.
Henry's eyes are just gorgeous, and can look so innocent. Like: "who, me?"

Allie, Allie, what a little living baby doll you are!

  13. Haha. I knew I would come here and see something about Henry. Hilarious as always. Jasper does that too. He can come in through the window, but prefers to meow loudly at the front door until it is opened for him. They do train us well. I wonder what Henry will train Alli Bell to do ...
