Yesterday I sat in front of my house in a bit of shade in 89 degree weather first laying paint on the watercolor paper, then inking in the flowers and plants...then adding more paint to highlight. This is what our front walk way looks like right now. One has to push through some flowers to get to the front door. The dark gray on the sidewalk is the shadows of the lavendars incase you were wondering.
I hope it's as pretty and spring like where you are too. Enjoy your weekend.
Thats as pretty as a picture. :) Is it all Lavender plants? Bet it smells heavenly as well as is pretty. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful walkway. You have to love the spring flowers.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, you really have ideal weather there. Here it is still very chilly, with the central heating still on in the evenings and early mornings. Brrrrr.
ReplyDeleteI love purple! So, needless to say, awesome!
ReplyDeleteI love this - it looks like an aboriginal map - all their paintings are from above looking down - just like this one :)
ReplyDeleteI am impressed with your drawing, especially considering how hot it was at your place. When temps hit that high, I want to crawl under the AC. Yep, I'm a real woos in that respect. But I love that your flowers are so prevalent and healthy this year.
ReplyDeleteYou are having perfect weather and the perfect front garden!
ReplyDeleteI can just imagine how it looks in these colors!
Nice painting dear♥
ah what a joyful painting. i'd love to have to push through flowers. sounds fairy tale like.
ReplyDeleteI can (almost) smell the Lavender... a beautiful painting - it captures the essence of Spring!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
♥ Robin ♥
This is a fun sketch of your sidewalk. I can visualize all the beautiful flowers. I'll be it smells good there. We are still too cold for this much summer. I can't believe you are already at 89. We have a frost warning for tonight!
ReplyDeletebeautiful watercolor that has pretty colors, a rich perfume of flowers, very spring
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful purple blooms along the walkway...if only I can witness it live too!
ReplyDeleteI love the shades, composition and balance of this watercolour painting.
You have spent so much thoughts on finishing such a wonderful painting!
Yeah, it's time to celebrate Spring!
