You Write The Stories on Animal Wednesday!

On Animal Wednesday Eve Henry came outside on the patio with me to watch me paint the drawings I did that afternoon at Jalisco's.

He had a lot of thoughts on the subject as he sat there observing what I was doing...

He kept flicking his long cat tail into my paints... I finally had to move them out of his way; but maybe just maybe he was telling me he wanted to paint too using his tail. You think?
After drawing at Jalisco's on Tuesday lunch hour I had some extra time so I walked downtown to the town square where I watched little kids climbing on rocks and drew this bike and hat taped to a tree.

Some of you have asked about the paints I use. These are the Translucent paints:
And these are the tube paints:
Henry wanted to use the tube paints with his tail.
We are inviting you to make up your own stories to go with the paintings and leave them in the comment section on my blog!
And we join together wishing you a Happy Animal Wednesday!

  1. Henry probably thought you just needed some extra color in one of your paintings. He has such attitude even when he is just lying there watching you. Fun to see your J people.

    1. Yes, Lisa, he did. He has such input that I find his ideas so helpful.
But sometime his tail swagger can be rather daunting.
Glad you enjoy the J people!

  2. 3 ladies in J's and the bike, story.

Middle Lady: "Anyway, I'm avoiding Animal Wednesday this year -"
    Blue Lady: "Why?"
Middle Lady: "Last year, to celebrate, I gave Mitzi the poodle two dishes of her favourite dinner..."
    Other Lady: "And?"
Middle Lady: "And? And? ... she starved half to death trying to make her mind which to eat first"
    Blue Lady: "What happened?"
Middle Lady: "She was so hungry that she put on my hat and cycled down to Jalisco's for a hot dog!"
Blue Lady: I always knew that poodle had CYCLE-LOGICAL proplems!!"

    1. Rosemary, thanks...and do let me know how you do with the Beinfang watercolor pens. Mine still sit in their box. I struggled with them and then gave up. If you learn a trick to making them as easy as paint let me know. I'll try again.

  4. My cat must want to paint also. He wants to drink my brush-cleaning water, too. That's why he's called Picasso Cat around here.

You have so many paintings of your lunches that I couldn't possible come up with stories for them. I just enjoy seeing what you see.

  11. Lynn, That Henry is something, I don't think Henry wants to paint, he looks mad and I think he wants you to stop painting and pay attention to him! As he is the KING. Lovely paintings by the way. xoxo
