Lots of Animals On Animal Wednesday! Correction!

This animal in the top and third photo are NOT pikas they are prarie dogs! Oops, my bad.

Correction: This is a Pika:

Pika's live at elevation above 10 thousand feet (read about them here) and we saw them on Medicine Wheel Mountain in the Big Horn Mountains in Wyoming. They are about the size of large rabbit. Now after reading my own link I am not sure if these are Pika after all. They do not have round ears and they have long tails. Perhaps they are something else. Any guesses? DH was sure they are pikas.

Chipmunks are much smaller, and will eat out of your hand on the Needles Highway, South Dakota.

Buffalo or Bison abound in Custer State Park, South Dakota.
 ...in the Black Hills...

These horses lived where we stayed on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota.
This is the view outside The Odd Duck where we stayed for three days.

Here they are saying good bye as we departed.

My DH sits on air with the Devil's Tower towering behind him.
Happy Animal Wednesday

We are not sure yet but we think the dog next door may be moving. A van came and took things away this last week.
