Home From Fun Trip to Portland, Grandkids!

My first born grandson
is now 22 years young. He and I sat on the back porch taking in the few rays of sun that came out over the very cold weekend, and talked about LIFE!

He let me draw him laying on the settee there.
I drew him twice.
(No, he doesn't really have a green face, my computer is just making it look that way!)

My youngest grand child is Allie. She is Amazing! Climbing up and down off her rabbit chair,
saying a few words, really giving walking great consideration, but holding off on showing off her first steps as yet. But very proud of two first teeth!

My second grand child, Kaeli Rose and her man-friend joined us for lunch our first day there.
She is a lovely young woman of 19 years and in her third year at college.

She wants to be a nurse one day in the not so distant future.

Mikiah entertained us all with his adept ball juggling by foot!

Allie sure liked it! She could watch him and color at the same time!

(Yes, that's one of the sweaters I knit for her before she was born.
Nice to see her all grown into it now!)

Allie also LOVES her grandpa and his music. She signs "grandpa and guitar" at the same time letting him know she is in the mood for music!
We visited a cool kids museum in Portland, and Allie played with all sorts of interesting things.

That walker contraption is just that, a device to get her ready to walk already...she is really getting more and more brave and is almost ready to take off on her own.

In the meantime she busies herself with drawing and music, her two passions, besides her grandpa!

Gosh, I wish I was still there!

  3. what fun! do the older grands love their sister? its a big age difference but it won't matter when they grow. My sister is 14 years older than me and I adored her as a child (still do, but it was more hero worship in those early days). love the pics,

  8. What charming paintings/sketches of your grandson -- and a nice introduction to all your 'grands'! I love the way you present grandson with all his quotes. It really invites us into the conversation.
