...these folks! Then Janet arrived and we ate "the Lynn" (burrito bowl) and talked and talked and talked!! Thanks for coming, Janet!
This time while he sang some very romantic songs I drew and painted him live.
Having such a talented husband, who after that first song he sang to me in 1978 on our first date, Farewell to Tarwathie", is still serenading me and making my toes curl! ;-) 35 years later!
Happy paint party Friday and Sunday Sketchers!
Thanks for all your wonderful visits and comments, they feed my artistic soul!
Lovely keepsakes from a wonderful day!!!! well done!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful that your husband still makes your toes curl.:) Love your creativity and it nice to re-connect with a friend afore. I know what you mean about having a friend that you don't see for a time and when you do, it's like yesterday. Nice. Take care. Happy Paint Friday to you too.
ReplyDeleteAll great as usual. Nice keep sake of your hubby playing his guitar & singing. I can attest that he is a wonderful guitarist and singer. Loved our Plein air painting, last year, to him serenading us along the River here. HPPF
ReplyDeleteHow special to have a husband that serenades you and keeps your toes curling!!

Its such a lovely feeling to have friends who you can connect with in-spite of all the distance. Great sketches :)
ReplyDeletedoes he play and sing at Jaliscos? wonderful he still makes your toes curl! I need to come to CA to visit Robin and yourself and order "The Lynn." LOL
ReplyDeleteYou will be most welcomed Ms. Suki!
DeleteThe best friends are friends that can pick up right where you left off, even years between seeing one another. Isn't it wonderful to have friends like that and to spend time together? The best is the romantic toe curling hubby and his ability to romance you through his songs. That's wonderful.
ReplyDeleteAfter all our years of marriage my husband still plays the piano for me but now with earphones, so I don't hear a note..............lol Loving the fab sketches, you are so the best. Hugs Annette x
ReplyDeletelovely skteches, thanks for sharing your good life!
ReplyDeleteHi Lynn, loved to read your blog today, how nice to read about how your toes curl :)How good time you must be having, I love to sit and listening to someone play and sing. Yesterday we had a song contest in my school. 35 kids were taking part, 25 groups. It was so much fun and I ant describe how good they were and Im still thinking how they can stand in front of all the people and sing even 8 years old.
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful day.
True...as Siggadisart wrote...it was lovely reading your blog today...and that sketch of DH playing music is priceless! Wonderful to keep the romance alive!
ReplyDeleteHappy PPF!
ReplyDeletelove how you paint your everyday life. And a husband that serenades you .... Can't beat that ... :-)

ReplyDelete1978! I was 6-7 at that time and just started school...

I love friendships like that. Because I've moved around a lot I have friends I rarely, if ever, see and it's wonderful when we do finally meet up to discover we just fall back into that same old familiarity - a sign of a good friendship, I think! And how wonderful to be serenaded by your romantic husband while you paint him!!
ReplyDeleteOne day soon I hope to go to a coffee shop and pretend I'm you and just start drawing. I'm so impressed with how you "just do it," and capture so much of life. Thanks for sharing your wonderful work. I always love it, but I REALLY love the photo of the guitarist and your portrait of him. What a great tribute!
