My Week In Ink, Watercolor, and Colored Pencil!

Last week I walked down town on a sunny day and grabbed a bite at
 the Pure Grain Bakery.
No sweets for me, just a delicious broccoli salad (raisins, sunflower seeds, and tiny broccoli pieces). These young women were enjoying conversation and food along with a huge baby stroller. You can just see the baby's tiny hands reaching out from under the blankets!

That Friday, DH and I went out to breakfast in Benicia, a town by the water. We like to eat at the First Street Cafe. I had a tall glass of fresh squeezed orange juice and enjoyed it while drawing this table of four women eating and talking. I wondered if it was a work meeting or just friends out for a nice morning together. The woman in blue had excellent posture!

Here's something just a little different. I decided to draw while watching "The Voice" on TV. I thought it would be easy, as I'd have time while the singers stood and performed in one spot.
To my surprise the camera person was all over the map and the picture in front of me changed second to second. I doubt I had a full minute on any one pose. So I ad libbed the best I could. But I think I caught, at least the gal in the big glasses' true look. I used colored pencils to color it afterwards. It was a fun experiment. I'll do it again!

I will post this for Paint Party Friday and
Sunday Sketchers this week. You can get to both blogs via the icons on my sidebar. Lots of good art out there.

Thanks so very much for stopping by, and I do eat up your comments, so thank you if you have time to leave a word or too about your reactions to my art.

One more drawing ... I made this for my best friend of 72 years, Patty. She is not well, and could use some healing prayers, positive healing thoughts, energy, etc. Whatever your belief system can muster up to help  her get well would be much appreciated. Thanks. She and I appreciate it!
