People and Life is What's Important to Me ... So I Draw It.

Last week I skipped this picture when I was making my blog post. Just an oversight. But the guy in the yellow shirt might have been feeling self conscious about his deformed arm and hand, I don't know. I've drawn that cop on the left before. He has huge eyes! Notice they both have guns.
I do like drawing plaid shirts. Otherwise, this was just another lunch time at Tacos Jalisco! Oh, and I forgot to paint the salsa. You can decide which is the green and which the red.

A week later, I'm back again. Five men eating together, and two women in the background. The guys are big because they were sitting right next to me. I could have reached out and patted that guy in the tile shirt on the back with no problem. There's another deformed hand, do you see it? That car is outside the glass front door. It's not going to hit the gal in the black shirt. Although it may have worried you a bit at first. She's okay. The umbrella is outside too. Sometimes people sit at the one table out there. I have not seen Carlos is quite some time. But I did see and talk to
"The Couple" that day. They're fine.

This I captured just yesterday at the Pure Grain Bakery. There were musicians in the square, but it was too hot to sit out there to listen. It would have been fun to draw them. Instead I found a table outside in the shade and my closest view was the back of the gal in the red blouse and tye-dyed skirt. She and her friend were talking business I think. They were going over some paperwork in that big grey folder.

The older couple were sitting closer to the musicians. And the woman sitting on the rock was watching little kids run around. They ran out of the picture.

I got two compliments from two different people. One guy came out of the bakery, saw me and said:
"Artist!" He stooped down to see what I was drawing. He said: "I like it" and walked off.

Then the owner of the shop came by holding her young grandson, who had been running around the square. She said she'd seen me drawing another time there and said I had really drawn that customer to look just as he looked. I wonder which drawing that was?

It was nice to hear both compliments!

I'll post this tonight to Paint Party Friday! Check out the other artists there via the icon on my sidebar.

Treat life as a gift and enjoy every moment ... as we never know how many more moments we actually have. Savor them and everyone in them with you.
Just saying.
