Sketchbook Skool

 My first drawing for Sketchbook Skool. Gouache over watercolor paints, white gel pen, bold black marker, copic black pen. Calligraphy pen.

Instructions involve drawing what we see, using pen only, which is already the way I work, but I didn't let that stop me going out and buying more pens, different types adding to my already substantial collection.

Drawing our shoes is a reoccurring theme. I loved drawing my Converse High Top shoes.

And making it pop with paint was even more fun!

Again, drawing in ink over pre-prepared water colored pages is a nice art journal effect for the new leaves on our fig tree:

I am enjoying the class. One more day in Danny Gregory's class. And then we move on to the second of six teachers. I'm excited to see what the next teacher has to offer in way of tools and techniques.
There are over 1000 people taking this class (six teachers, six weeks); and they are a chatty and sharing group. We have the classroom site for sharing and our own closed group Facebook page. It's fun seeing everyone else's art and receiving critiques, ideas, encouragement and inspiration.
