I have the good fortune to get out several mornings a week to draw in pubic places, like Starbucks
for instance. My husband drinks coffee and reads the newspaper and I do my best
to capture the locals with pen and ink and paint.
Yes, I paint right there!
I got such a kick out of drawing this guy. He kept laughing with utter glee at his computer!
Was he talking to someone? Playing a game and winning? No idea, but he sure was
happy about it.
That same day we went to lunch at The Nugget grocery store/deli. I had a delicious
Portabella mushroom sandwich. I caught this woman just before she got up to leave.
That's her shopping cart. I liked fitting a bit of Christmas Cheer into my drawing with the
lovely decorated tree in the background.
I've made tons of new friends since attending Sketchbook Skool on line. We have a wonderful community of artists there from all over the world. Some I met when we traveled to Europe just a couple of short months ago. This lovely blond woman, Elizabeth, I met in Ashland, Oregon through Sketchbook Skool. We have both been in it from the beginning (all three semesters)! I've met Elizabeth and drawn with her in person twice now. She posted a photo of her and her daughter and I painted it. She loves dressing up in costume!
