  1. ohhhhhhh, I'm jealous, I love the beads! and the doll reminds me of a doll my sister in law who is from Cameroun offered to my mom, it is made with the same technique. lovely.
    Lucky Saturday?

  2. Very cool! Love these little finds! I really enjoy garage sales too. :)

Hey...I was tagged to do a blog project and I thought it might be kind of fun to send it on to you.

    It's called Seven Random Things
    The rules:

    1. link to the person who tagged you:
    2. Post the rules.
    3. List seven random things about yourself.
    4. Tag seven random people (including links to their blogs at the end of the post)
    5. Let each person know that they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

I look forward to learning 7 random things about you too! :)

  3. Wow.. you got some cool finds there. That doll was a real find. Are you giving it to your grand daughter?
Who needs to go buy brand new toys for kids anymore as you can find some really nice ones at garage sales.

  4. Cris, this doll is for a woman I know who shared a dream with me that involved being taught by a woman to do African Dance. It was a very life affirming dream. When I saw this doll I knew I wanted to give it to her.

I did buy the beautiful fairy tale books and a like-new children's board game for the little kids.

Thanks for leaving your comments as I love hearing from you. Your words of encouragement are why I continue to draw!
