Round One Done!

Tonight I finished tracing, backing with fusible web, cutting out pattern pieces, and laying them all out on the backing on my "design board". This is the first and bottom layer of pieces in pattern one.









This is my finished first round, bottom layer of pieces pinned to the background fabric.
Not yet ironed into place on my design board standing up for a vertical view!

    Beautiful colors already. This is like painting. Oil painting. start with the darks on the bottom and they probably wont show all but you have to start somewhere and go lighter and more detailed. This will be fun to watch.

    Yes, as Cris said, it's fun to come here and watch how this works progress. It's not an easy pattern; lots of details and complication ...
    Sure these very details are the reason of its beauty...
