I proposed 23 years ago today...3 days later he said

YES! So we eloped to Mendocino to make an honest couple of ourselves...

Our dear friend, Sam(antha) made us this wonderful charm (top photo) and card in honor of her memory of our elopement on April Fools Day 1985.

We sent the middle announcement out then so it would arrive in friends and families mail boxes on April fools day. When we got home that day late our phone was ringing off the hook, with people unsure if it was true or just an April Fools joke! Twenty three years later we are still laughing about it.

And: Today is my 300th post!
