My Canon Rebel Xti wanted to rebel this weekend. The automatic flash refused to rise to the occasion. Today I used a bit of fingernail force and opened it, but these were taken without the flash. I think they came out okay. Anyone else have this Canon problem and can give advice I'd be interested in listening.
I don't have a Canon Rebel xti. Was thinking of getting one, but I think I will go for the Sony A300. Can't wait! No advice to give you on your pop-up flash but I'm sure someone else will know as many people own Rebels. Maybe even type it in Google and you're sure to get a response. I think the shots look fine without flash though. (I don't like flash anyway. I like natural light).
ReplyDeleteDo you really need a flash for outdoor pics? They look lovely to me. Thanks for the flower walk.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your suggestions. I do have a question to an expert on line, waiting to hear back.
ReplyDeleteI found that the flash outdoors eliminated blur as you see in photo #4 (star center of hollyhock). I have otherwise loved this camera. Great results.
Enjoy a beautiful day where you are.
great shots
ReplyDeletegreat shots
ReplyDeletea tip from my husband that helped me a lot : never use flash... it makes your pic flat... as you do not have the natural reflection and shades, the subject loses its perspective and its 3-dimentional look...
these flowers seem so alive...
More pretty flowers. I find that flashes distort my photos when using it. Like HB's Husband said.
ReplyDeleteHope you get it figured out tho.
I just love them this way!
ReplyDeleteI love photos of palmtrees! They are always so sunny!
Greetings From Holland
Welcome Marianne. How fun to be saying hello to you in Holland.
ReplyDeleteOn our trip this summer I will visit a dear friend I met in Israel. She is Dutch. Her family saved Jews in their home, hid them, during WWII. I can't wait to see her and hug her.
Please come again.

Great flower shots.
ReplyDeleteMy camera is the original Canon EOS Digital Rebel. Outside the U.S. it's known as Rebel 300D. I like to take photos in the early morning or early evening when the sun is less harsh. If the flash pops up, I put it down and turn the dial setting "no flash" and brace my arms against my body, or on my knees, inhale, hold my breath and shoot. Sort of a human tripod. That's how I took the Iris photo at my blog.
