Creative Cat Wednesday: Henry V Paper Bag Art

Henry was very busy creating last night...he really dives into his art work...he likes putting his whole self into his creations, as you can see here, as he busily tears paper with his teeth, (no scissors for Henry)...no, he likes the raw edged unfinished look using recycled brown paper grocery bags. He is not at all bothered by the mess left on the floor, in fact he is rather oblivious to it so absorbed is he with his paper bag art! But you can believe me when I say those scraps will eventually make it into a next art work. Henry is very much into living GREEN. And then he's batting around thread spools taming them for his artful ideas...can't you just see the creative juices flowing in his Right Brain!

  5. This is a classic. Henry at his best! Is he going to be exhibiting any time soon? Jasper also loves ripping paper ... which is why I generally can't leave important documents lying around within his reach.

  6. Elspeth, I think Henry might try to get his paper bag entered in the next juried show in April. Wish him luck. Hi to Jasper!
DH has to hide papers too. Henry tears what's every near the door as his way of telling us he wants to go out. It works. We are trainned.

Teri C. Love the cat word verification. Interesting how the cosmos works. HAW (meant as a laugh)!

Cris, a natural what? Cat? Yes, Artist? Yes on both counts!

Lolo: Hi and yes, our cats have these things in common. Henry loves your blog, thus the paper bag art.

Marianne, thanks, Henry appreciates the compliment. Would love to see yours too.

  7. You know how you sometimes add paper to your quilts. Perhaps you can use some of Henry's rippings in one of them. Just thinking ... good thing he's not named Jack (the Ripper).

  9. You captured Henry so well, noting like a cat and a bag. It gave me food for thought, maybe I will leave one on the floor for my Baxter.
Winco would love this for advertizing, but I don't think they do.
    Loved this, Hugs Mary

  11. Seriously ... not only I, but I'm sure your other readers would love to see a quilt collaboration between you and Henry. Jasper is on my lap purring as I write this, so he approves of the idea.

  12. Yes, Elspeth, Henry says I should start collecting his torn papers for a collage/quilt and I will get on this right away...and try to fit it in between the two MAJOR quilts I am working on for the next juried show in April!
