Saturday was a busy day in a laid back sort of way.
I did some studying in the early afternoon while sitting in the shade of our three redwood trees in the back yard. Then I felt like creating so I went inside
and let fabric and threads fly!
In just a few hours I got the foundation fabrics and ribbons
stitched together and then quilted by machine.
Now I am in the process of adding hand stitches and embellishments.
I love how it's come together.
It sings Summer.
And it's big about 16" x 16"
I'll show it to you soon!
Brilliant!

ReplyDeleteI must gain 36 hours every two years of continuing education units to keep my counseling license up to date. Yesterday I was taking an exam (at home/internet) on "Online counseling and Therapy: Critical Issues". I have a booklet of tests I can take. Some of the others include: "Ethics for Social Work"; and "HIV/AIDS: Epidemic Update for Behavioral Health Professionals". I'll probably do all of these. Or I can go on line and choose some others. I can't remember how many more hours I need for this round. I already have some done.
ReplyDeleteThese are all so wonderful. Lucky people who get them. Three redwoods in your yard? Are they huge? There is one next door up front. Nice to see it daily.
ReplyDeleteOh and Hope you pass all your tests with flying colors.
