Ta
Da!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This humble artist is very pleased with the outcome of this newest creation in fibers, hand dyed fabrics, hand dyed ribbons, metallic threads and Chinese embellishments.
Stitches here are gold metallic thread and shine and red metallic threads too.
Chinese coins and
Ying Yang coin embellish the side and corners of art quilt
I used a combination of machine quilting and hand stitch quilting on this piece.
(white tack holds quilt to fence, it's not a
permanent part of the art)
Photos taken on a sunny afternoon. Colors are brighter in person.
I made this beauty for my
ETSY store! (but right now I am in love with it...so it may stay home for a bit first. ;-)
If I had made it , it would be staying in my home forever!! Gorgeous!!!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful and fascinating art quilt. I love how some of the fabric edges are frayed, and also the coins, interesting stitches and colors.
ReplyDeleteSo modern and simply and yet so beautifully ornate...I love the addition of the coins...I can see why it needs to be homebound for a while yet...So hard to let our "children" go! :)
ReplyDeleteWOW. When I first saw it I thought of a watercolor painting with paint dripping down. but now I think maybe an Oil painting because it is so vibrant in colors. Lovely work.

ReplyDeleteThis quilt is still for sale in the ETSY shop found on my side bar.
