Chanukah Christmas Tradition With Best Friends

It was Chanukah/Christmas Brunch at my house today. Best Friend, Patty, came and we ate an omelet and toast on my grandma's china and mom's dinner plates.
We have such fun shopping for each other all year long...one year we do this at Patty's house and then I get to enjoy her Christmas Tree loaded with family heirloom ornaments and an abundance of other decorations...and the next year its here and she gets to enjoy my array of
Chanukah menorahs and other decor (many of which are past gifts from Patty.)
This year I gave Patty my first ever art journal, an experiment I told her...and she loved it as if
I'd given her the crown jewels!
She gave me this beautiful Chanukah dish which can serve as our family party cookie platter tomorrow. I think I really really blew her out of the water when she opened her final gift and found inside the box My "Living Green" art quilt wall hanging~ She had admired it so many times telling me how much she liked it I felt it only right that it should now hang in her home and it will. I hope she realizes its not a quilt to wrap up in~ ;-)

  6. Looks like a great friendship. I like the expressions on Patti's face. I love being able to give someone a gift they really want and possibly don't expect. Looking at the image of the food made me feel for pancakes.
