This is my first Hebrew Letter done as quilted fabric!
I enlarged the small atc sized drawing to 8" X 10",
and then printed it onto a paper backed cotton page.
I used a free motion foot on my sewing machine to
thread paint the black around the color on the printed cotton, which was
sandwiched with batting and backing.
Perhaps enlarging the picture on your computer will show off the thread painting done
in all the black areas. Try it. The orange and blue areas puffed up nicely
from the stitching.
amazing! what a great idea...I must give that free motion sewing a go and a fabric alphabet book is a wonderful gift. You are an artist with thread!
ReplyDeleteLynn, this looks fantastic! Not that I'm surprised! You do beautiful work and what a fun idea!

Hi Lynniskynni, your hebrew letters are beautiful, and the colors in your quilted letter are gorgeuous. I like the black and gold combination.
ReplyDeleteThose letters are so wavy, full of movement, beautiful.
Have a great weekend,
love
Andrea

How wonderful, Lynn!!! Just beautiful for the grand kids!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI think Lynn could make a king size quilt, 3 sketchbook pages, cook a rib roast, put up 3 posts, (scheduled), free motion sew a wall hanging, and clean the house ALL before Sunday!
ReplyDeletePowerhouse person!
And these letters are beautiful! Well done!
Thank you all for your lovely comments on my Hebrew letters!
ReplyDeleteI am going to bed tonight laughing at Babs list of things she thinks I could accomplish before tomorrow!
All but the pot roast (I do not cook much and burn lots;) or clean house (house suffers when I am being creative!!!LOL) Thanks for the good night laugh!
Amazing!!! A treasure forever:)
