A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words

Henry is home and he is fine. After two days of grueling tests that was not his most joyous experience to date, he was released with "we can't find anything wrong with your cat, but please pay us $485! So I did. And I took my well cat home. He is on soft food and rest, yeah sure, he does not want to rest. But okay on the soft food. He will be so mad when the kibble comes back out this weekend. Well, dad bought enough soft food to last him another week or so...so he may be happier longer than just a few days. He and I thank you for all your heart felt caring words of concern.

And here is Uncle Harry come home to Aunt Mimi this morning! They could not be happier.

Harry will be 91 next week!!! What a happy birthday this is.

Welcome Home Harry! Mimi is beside herself with joy and so is Harry.
The bride and groom are back together again.

  2. What a wonderful story (I read several posts about the cat, you and your uncle ;-) and I hope all continues to go well. I hear you about the cost of vet care (and health care). My cat recently had a bout of illness and cost well over a thousand dollars....which might as well be a million for us right now. I love the picture of him in the box. I have a male tabby that does the same thing ;-)

  18. So happy for Henry and Harry!
I do want to climb up on my soapbox for just a second though, about pet food. My cat Spike had kidney failure a couple of months ago and through research I found that the food we feed our cats is the reason for much of what ails them. Wet food is most important, kibble is okay, but they should have mostly wet, and if possible no grain, no by product wet food.
I know it is costly, I am spending a 30 dollars week on my 3 cat boys, but I have seen their health improve 100 fold. if you want to know more, email me and I will send you some links. xoxo

  20. What Annie says about kitty food is so true! All sorts of findings have come out now that wet food is best for cats. I'm trying to wean Bliss onto a special wet food and so far she's loving it. She normally hates wet food but the vet is so concerned about her obesity (from all the grain in dry food) and her allergies(again, the grain.) He just got back from a nutrition seminar in orlando. Lucky us to have seen him the day it was all fresh in his mind!

Look at Uncle Harry's smile :)
    That just warms my heart!

  21. So good to see the smiles of the happy couple! And hope Harry continues to thrive. You might not have found out what was wrong with him, but the $$$ helped find out what wasn't wrong, so you came away with more info than you went in with. That's how vet med is sometimes...
