ArtShine Pages for Kate's Book

I really enjoyed making these fabric pages for another ARTSHINE book, this one for Kate. I call this first page *side "Tropical Storm"... and the reverse side or page 2 "Deep Blue Sea"...

Both used mostly thrift store finds for fabrics, threads, floss, beads, and batting! I machine sewed/quilted and hand sewed/embroidered both sides. New batik fabric was used for the fish and sea weed. These are soft jeweled pages that were fun to make and hopefully will be fun for Kate to receive. See more of the ARTSHINE book pages here!

  5. Just amazingly beautiful. How clever you are, Lynn!
The one with the fish especially grabs me, but both are awesome, and so incredibly detailed.
    Good job!

I'd love to be included in the next round, but not knowing for sure where I'll be when, is a problem. Maybe there will be a group ready to start when I'm settled. Please keep me in mind.

  7. Kimmie it's so funny that you just said they were child like. I was just looking at them myself and I said to myself that they looked like kids art. Fun!!! Glad my inner child is alive and well.

Babs, thanks and please let us know when you are ready to join a traveling book group.

Thanks all for your kudos. Glad these pieces are so inviting to you all.

Second, I love both these fabric book pages. The colors are stunning and the designs show thoughtful contemplation. I'm sure the recipient will be as thrilled as I was that you shared these.
