Friends Visit and a Color Palette Lyntangle!

Our dear friend, Richard Gold, came to the bay area this past week and on Sunday Night he stopped by to say hi. He and DH have been best buds since they were in their early 20's. Nice to have a friend that long. When we first met, at a party at his house, he came up to me and very very seriously (I had just started dating his friend) said "Don't you hurt my friend!". I reminded him at this visit, and he remembered! I told him I hadn't.
Richard is a poet, and a former employee of Bill Gates team! Since retiring from Microsoft he started up a writing program for troubled teens called Pongo Press. He teaches kids how to write poetry about their terrible life experiences giving them some hope and release for their feelings. To read some of the kids poetry go here. It is very moving.
If you are in the Seattle, WA area they are always training new volunteers to do this work.
Richard recently was nominated for and won the Microsoft Foundation Integral Fellows Award.
