We did a lot more than I am showing here; I'll save some for tomorrow and/or the next day; But we went to Bodega Bay and enjoyed our favorite haunts, tried out a new spot for clam chowder and tried to decide which was better this one or the one from the Tides Inn?

SUNSHINE IN SAN FRANCISCO and BODEGA BAY
It was such a clear sunny day in San Francisco yesterday! After a week of rain it was like a balm that refreshed us from head to toe. People were out walking on the Golden Gate Bridge. I never tire of our drive across this bridge! It seems to hold magic for me.
Notice the young man wearing shorts and flip flops sitting on the wall. It really was that nice out.

ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you had a marvelous day. I can't wait to see more. I have been to Bodega Bay to bird so I feel like I know of where you speak. Isn't nature grand.
ReplyDeleteBB is one of my favorite places on the planet!! Lucky you. I do miss CA so much, but this year I'm going to find magical places here as well.
ReplyDeleteAnd as we all know, the BEST clam chowder is in New England ;)
Ohhhh lovley photos. I know what you mean about picking a favorite out of a hundred wonderful shots one takes. Especially when they evoke such a pleasant memoroy of the day. I laugh at that one pix of the man in the shorts & flip flops.. everyone else is bundled up.

I feel the same magic whenever I cross Golden Gate Bridge - it doesn't cease. Where in Bodega did you try the clam chowder? Since you didn't go to the Tides - Lucas' Wharf (we love the little deli there)? Sandpiper? Or any other place?
ReplyDeleteOMG...you are killing me with these beautiful photos, Lynn! You know how bad I wish I lived there....oh man...now I will go cry in my beer!!! :)
