"Allie Bel In Blue Hat" Drawing and Painting Almost Every Day

I've been true to my promise to myself and have been drawing and/or painting every day.
My goal is just to keep doing it and to hopefully see improvement over this year.
I am ever so inspired by other artists whose blogs I visit.
I love the Breakfast Art on video by Danny Gregory. (You can Google his name to find that).
And Lisa Bowman's ,of Artsy Endeavors blog,   paintings have helped me with shadows I think in this painting below.
Kimmie of Artinredwagons on her blog has a series of wonderful watercolors she did from her car.
It's really fun to look at other's work and try to emulate some of what they are doing
or at least aspire to get to that level at some time in my life time.
This is our little Allie Bel who can now hold her bottle all by herself and roll over from tummy to back.
Her mommy and daddy sent us a video of her doing just that! We are all so proud of her.
The hat she is wearing was knit by her 13 yr old cousin, Taylor, who lives on a farm in NY.

  1. What a little sweetie. Your drawing is good. I can't wait to see how your painting/drawing evolves too. Thanks for the shout out.

  2. Lovely drawing!!! Waiting for more.

  3. Wow Lynn, Your painting of Allie Bel is wonderful. This is your best so far. I think this should be your header.

  4. I esp like the version with color. isnt it wonderful that folks can do videos and send them with ease so you can keep up with the grandkids wonderful accomplishments. love it.

  5. Comes out very nice with the colors. Lovely eyes :)

  6. Lisa thanks.
    Kids REsources, welcome and thanks.
Cris, ole faithful one, thank you like it that much huh? ;-)
Suki, Yes, the videos are ever so special.
    Mim, I am, I am!!!
Seema, thanks, I am trying to capture her in her eyes. Glad you like them.

  7. hahahaha lynn, at first i thought that bottle was a pacifer and i was thinking, 'that nipple is too big for her mouth"!

keep it up for sure. i am loving seeing your progress. i think you're a natural.

  8. KJ, that nipple is a pacifier and it does look that big in the photo I drew from. I think it's the perspective!
Thanks for your continual kudos for my efforts at drawing!

  10. I love that painting of Allie Bel. What a cute child. I think it's very admirable of you to try and draw and paint every day. I am also trying to keep up with my blog again as my last post was in August! How hopeless am I? Life sometimes just gets in the way.

  11. Your drawing skills are very good. It looks like you use the "drawing on the right side of the brain" techniques. I can see that you are drawing what you see and not what you think you see. Great job! And thanks for the kudos ... Right back at ya!

  12. Loove your Drawing, it looks fantastic. Thanks for sharing....

Thanks for leaving your comments as I love hearing from you. Your words of encouragement are why I continue to draw!
