Too Much Fun To Stop

Is it an addiction if you just feel like you have to keep drawing and painting? I don't really care. As long as I'm not hurting myself or anyone else right? It's OKAY!
She's wearing a cute gray knit top first in ink and then with some light watercolor added.
(it's not your eyes that top photo IS blurry)
This is another cute sweater with knitted ruffled sleeves. Try to overlook her distorted body image, she's in therapy for this malady and should be cured of it soon enough. ;-))
I found a new blog through another bloggers' blog, called Rookiepainter. I got very gutsy and entered this painting I whipped up after seeing the latest challenge still life. Of course the threads grabbed my attention. I have not touched sewing machine or thread in some time so painting them seemed the next best thing.

If you want to see what this is supposed to look like go to the blog. The artists who submit their work there are all excellent artists. I thought they needed a REAL ROOKIE to make honest bloggers of them all.

I had a fun sychronistic happening this morning: I am currently reading the book Time Travelers Wife.
While treadmilling last morning I turned on the TV and watched the movie Time Travelers Wife.
In one scene, if that was not sychronistic enough, the lead female actor was wearing a sweater just like the one I drew and posted yesterday (long sleeved gray with big cowl, overly long sleeves). How cool is that? I felt like I was on some kind of a time warp myself. BTW the movie stuck surprisingly close to the book and was well acted.

and yes, I like the book and the movie, as I said the film kept fairly darn close to the book. I sat and cried watching it if that is an indication of good! ;-)

    1. Cris thanks for your comment and glad you could do so. It looks like blogger is adding things like this "Reply" to comments feature that just came up today on my blog. So this may be our "problem" with not being able to leave comments on some blogs. Let's hope they get the bugs out soon and we have no more problems.
Thanks too for your kudos on my art attempts.

  5. I don't believe there's such a thing as having too much fun so sketch and paint away! Loved your interpretation of the spool of threads...that was definitely a challenge for me.

  7. Don't you just love it when all seems to fall together. Then you are in tuned with life I guess.
Just watched the trailer of that movie and I want to see that one too.

  8. Lynn, I think you got your money's worth out of the knitting book that you bought. I love all the detail that you are putting in your pictures. Your thread pot is really beautiful and totally has your signature or style. I don't know if Rookie's have their voice yet Lynn. But you are doing great.
