Our Mother's Day:Daughter's For Brunch/Baseball

My seven year old grand daughter is an artist too. She drew this picture of me at the baseball game. And then she painted it. When you get to the bottom of the post you will see just how much it does look like me!

And my daughter is an artist in the kitchen. She made this beautiful egg, potato and artichoke dish
Here they are, my beautiful daughter and grand daughter!  (the green stuff in gd's mouth is not food, it's a retainer helping make room for new teeth coming in!)
and my plate of delicious food
Grandpa and grandson dig in...             There were orange flavored home made cookies with chocolate on top for dessert! Nummy too made by grand son and his mom.

And after we ate we all headed out to the baseball field where our grandson hit a home run bringing in two other teammates; and helped score his team in extra innings to a one point win over "the second best team in the league grandma!"
 He's #4

My grand daughter kept busy on the sidelines with my pens and paints, while grandpa played with his new concertina!

And here we are with the drawing completed after she said

"I want to draw YOU grandma!"

and she did!
It was truly a very delicious Mother's Day for me in all ways possible.

  5. How fun for your Grandson to win. It was a win win day for you all. Lovely food, lovely company. The painting by your GD really did resemble you. She caught your essence to a T. I knew it was you right away.

    1. Thanks L.W., Isn't she great? It was my first game and I really enjoyed it. I got hit in the leg by a stray ball, it was a proud brusie in the name of the game!

  10. Oh that does look like a great Mothers Day. So nice to see your gd drawing whilst out and about like that, looks like she is enjoying it. The food your daughter prepared looks delicious, but do I spy bacon on your plate!!!! lol. Sounds like your gs did a good job with his game, although I have no idea what the rules meant...heehee.

    1. Yes, observant Ann, that is Turkish bacon in fact. We are good Jews, but we do not observe kosher rules. ;-)) The game is fun. Kids hitting balls with a stick, running around three bases, and once back to "home plate" they score a point! I think the final score was 25-24!
