It's A Love Story

I love visiting my uncle and aunt. Both in their 90's having lived a long loving life together
that sets an example for everyone in the family. And it just feels good to be
in the same room with them.
My uncle Harry is one of my biggest fans as far as my art goes. Well, I think if I stood on my head and whistled Dixie he'd tell me I was the best whistler ever! That's just how much he loves me.

I love taking this picture of Mimi with her young self on the wall behind her. She is just as beautiful to me today as she was then.

She is my mom's baby sister. When I reminded her I was Estelle's daughter she looked at me and said it's hard to believe that's possible. I knew she said this because when she thinks of me she probably thinks of me as being young. I told her when she wasn't looking I grew up. She smiled.
DH and Harry had long conversations about the history of things, times, places, events...his mind is sharp and he enjoys a good talk with some depth to it.
But the best part of being there is seeing and feeling the love in the room...
It's deep solid love full of adoration and devotion, faithfulness, respect, caring and kindness. It's an honor to be in their presence. A blessing to be in their family. A lesson we hope to aspire to for as long as they have or as long as we get.
