What A Week!

It's usual now for me to have lunch a Tacos Jalisco's at least once a week. This was a colorful day!

And of course a jaunt to Starbucks is not unusual anymore either...

Switching things up a bit we ate and I drew at Panera's this past week ...

And last Sunday I drew at Fort Mason in San Francisco's Art Marathon. I drew for six hours,
36 pages in a large art journal, 10 models, 44 poses, both costumed and nudes.
If you would like to see all of these they are accessible via my side bar icon of pens
top right of this page. One click will take you there. To leave comments on that page one must
take the arrow on the far right of the page all the way to the bottom of that page to the comment box, or you may come back HOME to this page and leave your comment here.

In Sketchbook Skool Bootkamp, the free class we got for taking the first three semesters of klasses, we are drawing selfies in different styles, techniques and mediums this week.

This one is a favorite of mine!
I think I look good in green!

Then there were the one liners ...

This is my favorite of these!
Again, a one liner!

We had lunch again at Tacos Jalisco, this time with a new friend I have met through Sketchbook Skool, Janice, who lives 45 minutes from us. This is her second time of meeting me here. This time she brought her husband, Jim. I drew them while Fred and I enjoyed talking with them over a delicious lunch.

Carlos was there and although they were extremely busy with a room FULL of customers, he found time to sketch Fred!

Meanwhile, back at Boot Kamp, we are still drawing Selfies. This time as I think I appear:

And then the real me!

I like the top of these too best only because it shows how I FEEL more than how I look! The drawing in the bottom one is more studied and detailed of course.

It's been a good week, creatively speaking, and every other way too. I am grateful.

I'll tune into Paint Party Friday and you can too via the ion on my side bar to meet other artists and see their wonderful art. (Thursday night at nine pm)
And Sunday Sketchers on Sunday! Their icon is also on my side bar.

Remember to visit us at Paper, Paint, Pencils & Pens, my blog with Ann Hyde. You are welcome to join in the drawing fun there! Icon on side bar will take you there with a single click of your mouse. Or click on this link.

If you are at all interested in learning more about sketchbook skool check it out here:
www.SketchbookSkool.com. They offer a free class to see if you like it. Klasses done on line at your own pace, awesome teachers, six each semester, (six klasses); an international community of artists on all levels sharing, supporting, encouraging and having fun together.

Have a creative week yourselves, thanks for stopping by and thanks for your comments, I appreciate them all.

  1. I enjoyed this so very very much. As artists each piece of work we do reveals a bit of us but when the artist purposely shows how she looks and then how she feels she looks is like a window to the soul, you amaze me with your passion and talent, such an inspiration!

  10. As usual, I like all your sketches, but my absolute favorite this week is the piece you did at Fort Mason. The way you accented it with the hot pink reminds me of a fashion illustration you'd find in Vogue. Blessings, my friend!
