Drawings from Last Week and This Weekend

(I love how much my drawing really looks like this guy on the left)
(Isn't that a cool Hawaiian shirt?)

DH has a stack of hats piled up  high on this desk that was my parents and then mine.
Now that he's retired he can wear a different hat every day I guess!
(he has cowboy boots too! he looks real good in them. But you didn't hear it from me)

    1. Julie, it is awesome in many ways. It's very small. Not at all fancy. But the people who own it are charming and oh so nice/friendly. And the food is good too. I love drawing there.

The hats are my husbands, the secretary was my parents! ;-) One of the hats did belong to my husband's father!

  2. I love your sketches in public places. I can hear the chatter of the people, the chairs moving, the murmur of the people your focus on. It is a remarkable feeling.

I hope your week has some great hat-wearing adventures in it for you two ! ;-)
    Happy Monday !

    1. Kat, I am so glad my paintings resonate with you! And that we share the memories of the same piece/style of furniture from our childhoods.

  8. More great drawings and they keep getting better. I sound like a broken record but they do and I noticed the guitars on the Hawaiian shirt too. Or are those Ukuleles? The clock says sixish.. must have been a evening meal? you get so much detail in your drawings on top of the quick people sketches.

    1. Cris, I think they were guitars. The clock lies. It was lunchtime. Not sure how I made that mistake but you caught me!!!
